Job Description

Description The Plant Manager is responsible for leading all operational functions within the manufacturing facility, ensuring safe, efficient, and high-quality production in alignment with the ASD Lean Operating System. This role owns the plant's Safety, People, Quality, Delivery, Cost, and Cash, (SPQDCC) performance and serves as the senior operational leader driving cultural transformation and performance excellence. The Plant Manager provides strategic and tactical leadership — aligning Value Stream Managers, support functions, and front-line teams to deliver consistent results. This position plays a critical role in developing the next generation of operational leaders while building a culture of accountability, continuous improvement, and employee engagement. Strategic Leadership & Plant Management
  • Provide overall leadership and direction for all plant operations, including EHS, manufacturing, materials, maintenance, quality, and engineering.
  • Translate corporate objectives into actionable plant goals, priorities, and performance targets.
  • Drive execution of the ASD Lean Operating System, ensuring consistent adherence to leader standard work, visual management, and tiered accountability.
  • Serve as the primary link between the facility and executive leadership, communicating plant performance, challenges, and improvement initiatives.
  • Develop and manage annual plant operating budget, ensuring delivery to cost, productivity, and financial commitments. 2. Safety & Environmental Stewardship
  • Create and sustain a 'Zero Harm' culture, ensuring all safety policies, training, and compliance standards are met.
  • Lead by example through visible safety engagement, Gemba safety walks, and incident review participation.
  • Ensure compliance with all EHS regulatory requirements (OSHA, EPA, local).
  • Partner with the EHS & Sustainability function to advance environmental initiatives and energy reduction goals.
  • Drive continuous improvement in TRIR, near-miss reporting, and corrective action closure rates. 3. Quality & Customer Value
  • Own plant-level quality performance, ensuring compliance with all standards, certifications, and customer requirements.
  • Ensure adherence to the Quality Control Plan (QCP), standard work, and inspection procedures.
  • Foster a 'Build it right the first time' culture by empowering teams to identify and correct issues at the source.
  • Partner with Quality and Engineering teams to drive first pass yield (FPY), warranty reduction, and customer satisfaction improvements.
  • Support Voice of the Customer initiatives and ensure alignment with customer feedback and complaint resolution processes. 4. Delivery, Productivity & Cost Management

Pay and Benefits The pay range for this position is $200000.00 - $225000.00/yr. The Plant Manager is the senior operational leader responsible for driving business results, developing people, and ensuring the sustained execution of the ASD Lean Operating System. Success in this role is measured by measurable performance improvement across SPQDCC metrics, leadership capability development, and the creation of a culture of excellence that supports the company's long-term growth and transformation.
