Job Description

Position Summary The Plant Manager is responsible for overseeing all daily plant operations, including production, maintenance, warehouse coordination, safety, quality assurance, inventory control, and workforce supervision. This position requires a hands-on leader who can work closely with production staff while driving operational efficiency, product quality, and overall plant performance. Key Responsibilities Production & Operations
  • Manage daily manufacturing operations and production scheduling
  • Ensure production targets and delivery deadlines are consistently met
  • Improve manufacturing efficiency and minimize downtime
  • Monitor raw material consumption and production costs
  • Coordinate closely with purchasing, warehouse, and logistics teams
  • Support production planning and workflow optimization Team Management
  • Supervise approximately 20 plant employees
  • Train, coach, and evaluate production personnel
  • Maintain discipline, accountability, and teamwork
  • Assist with hiring, onboarding, and workforce planning
  • Foster a positive and safety-focused work environment Quality Control
  • Ensure products meet company quality standards and specifications
  • Investigate production issues and implement corrective actions
  • Maintain batch records, production reports, and operational documentation
  • Support continuous quality improvement initiatives Safety & Compliance
  • Enforce OSHA safety standards and company policies
  • Maintain safe working conditions throughout the facility
  • Coordinate equipment repairs and preventive maintenance programs
  • Support environmental, health, and regulatory compliance efforts Inventory & Logistics
  • Monitor raw material and finished goods inventory levels
  • Coordinate warehouse operations and outbound shipments
  • Improve inventory accuracy and reduce material waste Continuous Improvement
  • Identify opportunities for process and operational improvements
  • Implement Lean manufacturing and efficiency initiatives
  • Improve labor productivity, plant organization, and workflow
  • Support long-term operational scalability QualificationsRequired
  • 5+ years of manufacturing management experience
  • Experience supervising production teams in a manufacturing environment
  • Strong leadership, communication, and organizational skills
  • Hands-on problem-solving and decision-making ability
  • Knowledge of OSHA regulations and manufacturing safety practices
  • Ability to work in a fast-paced manufacturing environment Preferred Experience in one or more of the following industries:
  • Waterproofing materials
  • Roofing products
  • Plastics manufacturing Additional preferred qualifications:
  • Experience with small manufacturing facilities
  • Bilingual English/ Spanish
  • Experience with ERP or MRP systems Key Skills

Pay:
$100,000.00
  • $120,000.
