Job Description

Overview Patrol officers are at the heart of community safety, tackling everything from neighborhood disputes to urgent emergencies. Every day brings new challenges, and these officers are on the front lines, making a real difference where it matters most. Their core mission? Safeguarding lives, upholding dignity, and earning the community's trust—while always staying ready to respond when called. If you're looking for a role with real impact, this is where it starts. Responsibilities Responds to emergency and non-emergency calls, providing assistance or intervention as needed. Conducts routine patrols in assigned areas to deter crime, ensure public safety, and maintain visible law enforcement presence. Investigates suspicious activities, conducts field interviews, and prepares incident reports based on observations and findings. Enforces traffic laws by issuing citations, directing traffic, and investigating accidents. Performs arrests and detentions in accordance with legal procedures, ensuring the rights and safety of all individuals involved. Engages with community members to build trust, address concerns, and foster positive relationships. Collects and preserves evidence at crime scenes, maintaining proper chain of custody. Provides testimony in court regarding incidents, investigations, or arrests handled during patrol duties. Experience Completion of the TCOLE Certified Police Academy Training.
TCIC/NCIC
Certification preferred Current and valid Texas Driver's License with a clean driving record. Valid Vehicle Insurance Card No felony convictions. Excellent written and verbal communication skills. Strong analytical and critical thinking abilities. Organizational and time-management skills. Ability to work independently and as part of a team. Certifications in first aid, CPR, or related emergency response training are advantageous.
Pay:
$22.00 - $24.00 per hour
