Plant Wheel Loader Operator

A Wheel Loader Operator with weighing responsibilities operates heavy equipment to load materials (sand, gravel, topsoil) while using onboard computerized scale systems to achieve precise truck weights, ensuring compliance with legal load limits. May need to assist in plant maintenance when needed. Key Responsibilities •

Precise Material Loading:

Operate a front-end loader to load trucks, hoppers, or conveyors, using onboard payload systems to reach target •

Scale Operation:

Monitor and operate in-cab computerized scales to track total loaded weight and bucket weight. •

Preventive Maintenance:

Perform daily pre-operation checks on the loader (fluid levels, tires, visual inspections) and maintain a clean, safe, and organized work area. •

Communication:

Coordinate with plant staff, truck drivers, and site management via radio for safe loading procedures. •

Safety Compliance:

Adhere to all safety rules, including managing loading zones and preventing over/under loading of trucks. Required Skills and Qualifications •

Experience:

Previous experience operating loaders and working with, or ability to learn, computerized weighing software. 3 years of Heavy Equipment required •

Certification:

Valid Driver's License •

Abilities:

Ability to work in varying weather conditions, perform maintenance tasks, and follow strict safety regulations.

Pay:

$20.00 - $24.00 per hour
