Plastics Grinding Operator-2nd and 3rd Shifts

Overview Join our dynamic manufacturing team as a Plastics Grinding Operator working on 2nd or 3rd shifts! You will be operating and maintaining grinding machines to process scrap plastic materials, ensuring consistent quality and efficiency in the production of recycled plastics. This role requires attention to detail, a commitment to safety, and the ability to work effectively as part of a team in a fast-paced manufacturing environment. Responsibilities Operate plastics grinding equipment and auxiliary machinery with precision, ensuring consistent material size and quality. Inspect finished product for consistency, quality, and adherence to customer specifications; make necessary adjustments to improve product quality. Handle materials safely using forklifts and other warehouse equipment to move raw plastics and finished products efficiently. Perform routine maintenance on grinding machines, including cleaning, troubleshooting, and minor repairs to minimize downtime. Follow safety protocols diligently, including proper use of hand tools and personal protective equipment. Maintain accurate records of material input/output, machine settings, production quantities, and quality control checks. Qualifications High School Diploma or GED Prior experience in manufacturing environment involving machining or plastics processing (preferred but not required). Ability to read and understand technical specifications and production instructions. Ability to work independently and as part of a team in a fast-paced environment. Experience operating forklifts and understanding warehouse procedures for materials handling. Strong attention to detail and commitment to producing high quality work. Basic mechanical aptitude and ability to perform routine machine maintenance. Willingness to work flexible hours, including potential overtime and weekends as needed.
