Full Job Description Overview:

The Plate Saw operator will perform precision measuring, cutting, and finishing of raw materials used for manufacturing. Responsible for setting up, operating, and running the CNC Plate Saw equipment.

Responsibilities:

REPONSIBILITIES

Cut order per nesting sheet instructions and document necessary information. Follow set guidelines for proper inspection of material and cut size. Keep work areas clean and unused material put away in proper location. Transfer completed pieces to inventory, both physically and systematically. Required to use proper lifting equipment (forklift, crane with vacuum lifter) when handling material. Know and understand proper procedures for operating plate saws and HEM saw. Maintain maintenance and inspection checklist for plate saws, HEM saw and lifting equipment. Label completed cut pieces and unused remanent material. Use a forklift to load or unload, move or stack materials or products safely in their appropriate place. Pull material using FIFO. Always maintain inventory batch traceability.

Qualifications:

JOB QUALIFICATIONS

Basic computer skills, read written directions, take verbal instructions, able to use measuring devices, and basic math skills. Always wears required PPE.

Preferred Education/Experience:

High school diploma or general education degree (GED); and two to four years related experience and/or training; or equivalent combination of education and experience.
