Job Description
Overview Join our dynamic healthcare team as a Podiatrist, where you will play a vital role in diagnosing, treating, and managing foot and ankle conditions to improve patients' mobility and quality of life. This energetic position offers the opportunity to utilize advanced clinical skills, collaborate with multidisciplinary teams, and deliver comprehensive patient-centered care. Duties Conduct thorough patient evaluations, including medical history review and physical examinations focused on foot and ankle health. Diagnose a wide range of podiatric conditions such as bunions, heel pain, infections, sports injuries, and deformities. Develop personalized treatment plans incorporating non-invasive therapies, medication management, orthotic devices, and surgical interventions when necessary. Utilize advanced medical imaging techniques like X-rays and ultrasound to assist in accurate diagnosis and treatment planning. Perform minor surgical procedures including toenail removals, wound care, and corrective surgeries with precision and adherence to aseptic techniques. Educate patients on foot health maintenance, injury prevention, and post-treatment care to promote long-term wellness. Collaborate with other healthcare professionals such as orthopedists, physical therapists, and primary care providers to ensure comprehensive patient care. Requirements Doctor of Podiatric Medicine (DPM) degree from an accredited institution. Valid state licensure or certification to practice podiatry. Proven experience in clinical settings with expertise in medical office procedures and patient service. Proficiency in electronic health record (EHR) systems such as Epic or EMR systems for documentation and patient management. Knowledge of diagnostic radiology including X-ray interpretation; experience with medical imaging tools is preferred. Strong understanding of anatomy, physiology, and pathology related to foot and ankle conditions. Excellent communication skills for effective patient education and interdisciplinary collaboration. Ability to perform minor surgical procedures with precision; experience in wound care and suturing is advantageous.
