About the Position The Public Relations Associate is the face of the agency. The associate will be responsible for collaborating to develop and execute strategic public relations activities for the organization. Candidates must be self-starters who possess the ability to work independently and as part of a team. This position reports to the Marketing Manager. Responsibilities Provide outstanding customer service Providing customers with important information about the organization and the program Supports the Marketing team in creating and executing a Community relations strategy, partnering with offices, associations and other local organizations Develops and maintains relationships with clients within the industry Regularly attend events and meetings and ensure that relevant information is being shared Generate ideas and plans how to expand and spread the word in the Chicagoland Engage with local authorities Measure the effectiveness of communications efforts, establishing benchmarks and using analytics to inform decisions Follow all IDoA and AUAF policies and procedures Other duties as assigned Qualifications Required High School Diploma or GED. A minimum 2 years of experience as PR. Authorized to work in the United States. Pass state required background checks. Preferred College degree or equivalent work experience. Knowledge of health care/home care industry. Training Complete IDoA required Homecare Supervisor Training (HOST) within 90 days of employment. Complete 24 hours of in-service training on aging related subjects within each calendar year. Complete additional training as assigned by AUAF management. Required Skills Proficient in Microsoft Office (Excel, Outlook, Word) Excellent customer service Excellent phone and email etiquette Polish speaking Organizational and time management skills Detail oriented Develop ideas Be self-reliant and driven to succeed Outstanding verbal and written communication skills Ability to keep client, caregiver, and AUAF information confidential Physical Requirements Lift up to 10+ lbs Operate office equipment (copier, fax, scanner, phone, computer) Extended periods of time on the phone, typing, and reading on a computer screen EEO Statement AUAF is an equal opportunity employer.
