Job Description
Position Summary The Pool Monitor supports the safe, orderly, and enjoyable use of the Association's pool facilities. This position is not a lifeguard role and does not provide water rescue or medical supervision. The Pool Monitor's primary responsibility is to observe activity, enforce posted rules, and maintain a clean and compliant pool environment for members and guests. •

21st•Essential Duties and Responsibilities Monitor the pool deck, wading pool, pool bathrooms, and surrounding areas for rule compliance and appropriate behavior. Greet members and verify access (sign‑in sheets, RHHA keys, or guest policies as applicable). Enforce all posted pool rules, including safety, hygiene, and conduct expectations. Remind swimmers and guests of rules in a calm, professional, and respectful manner. Report unsafe behavior, hazards, or rule violations to management immediately. Maintain cleanliness of the pool and pool area, including straightening furniture, emptying trash, sweeping pool deck, cleaning skimmers, netting the pool, wiping surfaces as needed, etc. Ensure gates remain closed and secured; prevent unauthorized access. Monitor restrooms for cleanliness and supplies and restock and clean as needed. Document incidents, injuries, or rule violations according to Association procedures. Communicate promptly with supervisors regarding issues, conflicts, or facility concerns. Provide general assistance to members (locating rules, answering basic questions, etc.). Support emergency procedures by contacting 911 and management when needed. Never enter the water to perform rescues or provide medical care. Qualifications Minimum age requirement- 16 years old Ability to remain attentive and observant for extended periods. Strong communication and customer‑service skills. Ability to enforce rules calmly, confidently, and respectfully. Dependable, punctual, and able to work independently. Physical Requirements Ability to walk, stand, and move around the pool area for the duration of the shift. Ability to lift up to 25 lbs (moving chairs, umbrellas, or supplies). Ability to work outdoors in varying weather conditions. Work Environment Outdoor pool facility with exposure to sun, heat, water, and noise. Interaction with members, guests, children, and families. Must maintain a professional and friendly demeanor at all times. Important Note This position is not a lifeguard.Pool Monitors do not:
