Pool Technician

Job Overview We are seeking a motivated and detail-oriented Pool Technician to join our team. In this role, you will be responsible for maintaining the cleanliness, safety, and optimal functioning of swimming pools and related equipment. You will ensure that clients enjoy pristine, well-maintained pools while adhering to safety standards. Responsibilities Perform routine pool maintenance, including water testing, chemical balancing, and cleaning to ensure optimal water quality and clarity. Conduct pool cleaning tasks such as skimming debris, vacuuming surfaces, brushing walls, and emptying skimmer baskets. Inspect and repair pool equipment including pumps, filters, heaters, and chlorinators using hand tools and power tools. Identify mechanical issues and perform necessary repairs or coordinate with service technicians for complex repairs. Maintain detailed records of maintenance activities, chemical treatments, and equipment repairs for each pool serviced. Ensure all safety protocols are followed during maintenance procedures to protect yourself and clients. Assist with seasonal opening and closing of pools, including draining, covering, or winterizing as needed. Experience Prior experience as a service technician or in a similar pool maintenance role is preferred but not necessary. Mechanical knowledge with the ability to troubleshoot and repair pool equipment efficiently. Hands-on experience with pool cleaning techniques and routine maintenance tasks. Familiarity with using hand tools and power tools safely and effectively. Knowledge of pool chemistry principles for balancing water quality is a plus. Ability to work outdoors in varying weather conditions while maintaining a positive attitude. Excellent attention to detail combined with strong organizational skills to manage multiple service appointments.
