GENERAL JOB DESCRIPTION

The Porter is responsible for maintaining cleanliness of the interior and exterior of the building

DUTIES AND RESPONSIBLITIES

Sweep, mop, and wax floors throughout the facility Sweep in front and around the building, garden, and parking lot Clean bathrooms, windows, elevators and other areas that may require cleaning Empty and maintain garbage areas to be clean and orderly Responsible for snow removal during winter months Receive deliveries, lift boxes, and deliver them to the appropriate area of the facility Move and relocate furniture throughout the facility Assist families in moving in and out of facilities Maintain kitchen cleanliness and orderliness, if required Handle food in an appropriate manner following state and city regulations if required In the event of an emergency, Essential Employees are required to report to work as scheduled Duties and responsibilities are subject to change based upon assessment of company needs

SKILLS AND QUALIFICATIONS

High School diploma or equivalent required One year of experience in housekeeping preferred Must be able to interact effectively with the facility staff and client population Must be capable of heavy lifting at least 50 lbs. Must be able to work effectively in a team environment Must be able to cover coworkers shifts during vacation time and other events Bilingual - English/Spanish plus
