Responsibilities Perform routine cleaning tasks across various areas including lobbies, hallways, restrooms, and common spaces to maintain cleanliness and hygiene standards. Conduct janitorial duties such as trash removal, sweeping, mopping, dusting, and disinfecting surfaces efficiently. Assist with floor care activities including buffing, polishing, and applying protective coatings to ensure floors are safe and visually appealing. Support custodial operations by using industrial cleaning equipment and supplies to handle specialized cleaning projects. Maintain facilities by performing light maintenance tasks such as changing light bulbs, repairing fixtures, or reporting larger repairs needed. Support residential painting projects or touch-ups when required to enhance the appearance of the facility. Follow safety protocols and proper procedures during all custodial and maintenance activities to ensure a safe working environment. Qualifications Prior experience in cleaning, janitorial work, custodial services or facilities maintenance is highly preferred. Knowledge of commercial cleaning techniques and floor care procedures such as buffing and polishing. Experience with industrial cleaning equipment and supplies is a plus. Ability to perform physical tasks including lifting, bending, standing for extended periods, and operating cleaning machinery safely. Strong attention to detail with excellent time management skills to complete tasks efficiently. Good communication skills to coordinate with team members and report maintenance issues promptly. Nice-to-have skills include residential painting experience and familiarity with custodial or industrial cleaning standards.
