If you'd like to join our elite team committed to excellence, please apply today for consideration! Automotive porters here at Schepel Cadillac have a wide variety of responsibilities. You will be tasked with cleaning new and used vehicle sales, inventory, and all customer vehicles here at dealership! We are also in charge of grounds, which includes cutting grass in summer and snow removal in winter. Porters also will be required to drive vehicles to and from dealerships on occasion, as well as providing shuttle service for customers.

$13 per hour Benefits 401(k) 401(k) matching (Full-Time) Dental insurance (Full-Time) Employee discount Health insurance (Full-Time) Opportunities for advancement Paid time off (Full-Time) Paid training Vision insurance (Full-Time) Responsibilities Washes and conditions vehicle exterior, including engine and under hood, wheel wells, gas cap area, and door jams. Cleans and conditions vehicle interior, including vacuuming, shampooing, shining, conditioning etc. Inspects vehicles for noticeable defects, such as dents, scratches, torn upholstery. Ensures that work areas are clean and that equipment, tools, and supplies are properly stored Ensures that required documentation is complete and is in compliance with regulations and standards Helps maintain shop appearance and safety standards and ensures the shop runs in an efficient manner by performing duties such as inventory stocking and other general functions Follows all shop policy, procedure, safety, and environmental rules Performs other duties as assigned Qualifications High school diploma or GED preferred Unrestricted driver's license and clean driving record Merrillville, IN 46410: Reliably commute or planning to relocate before starting work (Required) Neat, clean, and professional appearance Excellent communication, customer service, and problem solving skills, including the ability to maintain composure under stress Excellent interpersonal skills to interact professionally with customers, vendors, and staff Able to work independently with minimal supervision Highly professional and dependable Safety and customer service oriented Able to bend, kneel, squat, stand, and lift heavy objects as needed Schepel Auto Group is an equal opportunity employer that is committed to diversity and inclusion in the workplace.
