Porter/Maintenance Worker

Seasonal Apartment Porter (May-October) - Job Duties General Cleaning & Upkeep Maintain cleanliness of common areas (lobbies, hallways, stairwells, elevators) Sweep, mop, vacuum, and dust regularly Clean glass doors, windows, and mirrors Power wash sidewalks, entryways, and trash areas (seasonal emphasis) Trash & Recycling Management Collect and transport trash from designated areas to dumpsters/compactors Keep trash rooms and dumpster areas clean and odor-free Break down cardboard boxes and manage recycling properly Assist with bulk item disposal during move-in/move-out season Groundskeeping & Outdoor Maintenance (Seasonal Focus) Pick up litter around property grounds, parking lots, and landscaped areas Water plants, flowers, and maintain basic landscaping Assist with lawn care (mowing, trimming, weeding) Keep outdoor amenities (pool areas, patios, grills) clean and presentable Light Maintenance Support Report maintenance issues (leaks, lighting outages, damage) Replace light bulbs in common areas Assist maintenance staff with minor tasks or work orders Set up and move equipment or furniture as needed Resident Support & Property Presentation Assist with preparing units for new residents (basic cleaning, trash removal) Help maintain curb appeal for tours and inspections Respond to simple resident requests in a professional manner Seasonal / Summer-Specific Tasks Clean and maintain pool area furniture and surroundings (if applicable) Increase frequency of trash pickup due to higher occupancy/activity Support turnover cleaning during peak moving season Assist with event setup/cleanup (if the property hosts resident events) Requirements / Qualifications (optional section) Ability to perform physical tasks (be able to lift 50 pounds, bending, standing for long periods) Basic knowledge of cleaning supplies and safety practices Reliable and able to work outdoors in warm weather Prior porter/janitorial experience preferred but not required

Pay:

$17.00 - $18.00 per hour
