Job Description

Overview The Post-Acute Billing & Revenue Coordinator is responsible for overseeing the billing and revenue cycle management for post-acute care services, which includes Home Health, Home Infusion and Skilled Nursing Facility. This role ensures accurate and timely processing of claims, reconciliation of payments, and compliance with regulatory requirements. The ideal candidate will possess strong analytical skills, attention to detail, and the ability to work collaboratively with various departments to optimize revenue and ensure financial efficiency.
Essential Duties Billing & Claims Management:
Prepare, review, and submit accurate claims for post-acute care services to insurance providers, Medicare, and Medicaid. Address and resolve any claim denials or rejections.
Revenue Cycle Oversight:
Monitor and manage the revenue cycle process from patient intake through payment, including billing, collections, and patient account management.
Compliance:
Ensure compliance with all federal, state, and payer-specific regulations and guidelines. Stay current with changes in healthcare billing and reimbursement policies.
Financial Reporting:
Generate and analyze reports on billing, collections, and revenue trends to identify areas for improvement and ensure financial performance targets are met.
Patient Accounts:
Manage patient accounts, including billing inquiries, payment plans, and resolution of account discrepancies.
Coordination:
Collaborate with clinical and administrative staff to obtain necessary documentation and information required for billing and revenue cycle processes.
Training & Support:
Provide training and support to staff on billing procedures, coding practices, and revenue cycle management best practices. Non-essential Duties Assist with special projects related to billing and revenue cycle management as needed. Participate in departmental meetings and contribute to process improvement initiatives Responsibilities Preferred Experience (EHR) systems, Epic, PointClickCare, and CareTrend. Medical billing and revenue cycle management, preferably in a post-acute care setting. Strong analytical and problem-solving skills. Excellent communication and interpersonal skills. Ability to handle sensitive information with confidentiality. Required Licensure/Education High School Diploma Preferred Education Associates degree in Business Administration, Healthcare Administration, Accounting, or a related field.
