Job Description
About Us We are an established title and escrow company handling residential and commercial real estate transactions throughout Maryland, Washington, DC, and Virginia. We are seeking an experienced Post Closer to manage critical post-settlement tasks and ensure timely, accurate file completion. Position Overview The Post Closer is responsible for managing all post-closing activities, including disbursements, lender package delivery, recording, and final file completion. This role requires strong attention to detail, organization, and the ability to manage multiple files in a fast-paced environment. Key Responsibilities Prepare and balance disbursements and cut checks in accordance with closing statements Submit lender packages (electronic and physical) in a timely and compliant manner Review closing files for completeness and accuracy prior to shipment Record closing documents with local county clerk/recording offices (including e-recording where applicable) Track and resolve recording rejections and post-closing conditions Follow up on trailing documents (title policies, recorded deeds, loan documents, etc.) Communicate with lenders, agents, and internal team members regarding post-closing status Maintain organized and compliant post-closing files Qualifications 2+ years of experience in title/escrow, specifically in a post-closing or closing support role Strong knowledge of real estate closing documents and settlement procedures Experience working with title software such as Qualia, SoftPro, or similar Familiarity with e-recording platforms such as Simplifile or CSC eRecording Experience handling transactions in Maryland, DC, and/or Virginia preferred Strong attention to detail and organizational skills Ability to manage multiple files and meet deadlines Excellent communication skills Work Environment Must be able to work independently In-office responsibilities required for candidates (e.g., handling physical documents or disbursements) Compensation & Benefits Competitive salary based on experience Bonus opportunities based on performance Health benefits (if applicable) Paid time off
