Job Description
Your Impact The Post-Harvest Machine Operator plays a vital role in the final stages of cannabis production, overseeing both hands-on post-harvest processes and the operation of advanced processing equipment. This position is responsible for drying, curing, trimming, and bucking cannabis flower, as well as operating and maintaining Mobius trimming machines, 108s, and sorting equipment, to ensure efficiency, quality, and regulatory compliance. What You'll Do (Personnel Duties, Authority, and Responsibilities) To perform this job successfully, an individual must be able to perform each essential duty satisfactorily. Other responsibilities and projects may be assigned for the overall benefit of the organization. Post-Harvest Processing
- Buck cannabis flower with precision, carefully separating harvested material from main stems.
- Hang and dry harvested plants, ensuring proper airflow and environmental conditions are maintained.
- Perform hand and/or machine trimming to meet established quality and presentation standards.
- Monitor and document environmental factors, including temperature, humidity, and airflow during the drying and curing phases.
- Implement established curing protocols to ensure product consistency.
- Identify and report quality or contamination concerns immediately to maintain safety standards. Machine Operation & Maintenance
- Operate Mobius trimming machines, including full setup, calibration, and adherence to safe operation practices.
- Manage the operation of 108s bucking machines and various sorter machines.
- Perform routine cleaning, sanitation, and basic maintenance on all processing equipment.
- Troubleshoot minor mechanical issues and report major maintenance needs to leadership. Compliance & Inventory
- Maintain accurate inventory and detailed batch tracking records throughout the processing cycle.
- Complete required production and compliance documentation in a timely and accurate manner.
- Follow all Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs) and regulatory requirements to ensure full operational compliance. What You Bring (Qualifications)
- Must be at least 21 years of age and possess a GED or equivalent.
- Strong computer skills, ideally with experience using Windows-based PC programs.
- Ability to manage time efficiently and effectively.
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
- Excellent organizational and problem-solving skills.
- Must be able to successfully pass a comprehensive background check to obtain and maintain a Key Employee License issued by the CT DCP.
- Ability to work nights, weekends, and holidays, as needed.
