Career Opportunity:

This is an entry-level position that will progress and develop into a control room operator. The trainee program will consist of professional development through academic and on the job training. Emphasis is placed on practical work experience; rotational work assignments are part of the trainee's professional training. How you will impact

Smurfit Westrock:

Must be capable of operating large valves, lifting up to 50 lbs. and climbing multiple flights of stairs on a frequent basis. Must be motivated to eventually operate coal oil fired boilers used for steam and electric power generation. Monitor power plant equipment and indicators to detect evidence of operating problems. Pay for learning Non-union environment Powerhouse area encompasses all boiler water treatment, wastewater treatment, steam, and utilities to support mill operations. Must be willing to work rotating shifts in a 24/7 environment.
