Power Plant Operator

Duties Monitor and control plant systems, including water treatment, wastewater management, and power generation equipment to ensure continuous operation. Operate heavy equipment such as cranes, pumps, valves, and pipeline machinery with precision and safety awareness. Conduct routine inspections of mechanical systems, pipelines, and treatment facilities to identify issues early and perform necessary adjustments or repairs. Manage water treatment processes to maintain quality standards for drinking water or industrial use. Oversee wastewater treatment operations to ensure environmental compliance and proper disposal procedures are followed. Perform heavy lifting tasks safely using appropriate equipment to handle materials or components during maintenance or installation activities. Respond promptly to alarms or system malfunctions, troubleshooting issues efficiently to minimize downtime. Maintain detailed logs of plant operations, maintenance activities, and safety checks for regulatory compliance and operational transparency. Experience Proven experience operating power plant equipment in a utility or industrial setting. Mechanical knowledge with the ability to troubleshoot and repair complex machinery. Hands-on experience with water treatment and wastewater management processes. Familiarity with pipeline systems used in oil & gas or energy sectors. Ability to operate heavy equipment safely and perform heavy lifting as required by the role. Knowledge of safety protocols related to heavy equipment operation, hazardous materials, and environmental regulations.
