4 on 4 off 12 Hour Rotating Shift Why Work Here? Our client is a premier utility scale power generator in Milford looking to add an additional member to their operations staff. Healthcare premium costs are fully covered including health, dental, and vision including a matching 401k and a pension. This plant is very stable as well offering one of the best heat rates of any power plant within the state operating many many years into the future. OE-2 Licensure required.
Job Description:
Reads meters and records data at specified intervals in appropriate logs and computers Immediately reports malfunctioning equipment of abnormal meter readings/equipment performance to the senior operator or supervisor and completes the appropriate records. Provides mechanical, electrical, and/or instrument and control skills for maintaining mechanical equipment as one's abilities permit. Contributes a valid Connecticut OE-2 license Perform safety sensitive tasks. Work around moving equipment and high-energy pneumatic and hydraulic systems. Monitor and operate water treatment equipment and other auxiliary plant support systems. Understands the operational relationships of mechanical/electrical equipment to plant systems. Performs troubleshooting, documentation, and assists in the resolution of problems discovered during shift. Ensures strict adherence to safety, health and environmental procedures as they relate to plant operations and maintenance including but not limited to Lockout Tagout, Job Safety Analysis, Confined Space, Hot Work, Electrical Safety and PPE. Assists with activities of clearances in the electronic clearance system. Utilizes the Computer Based Maintenance system and several other computer - based software applications systems. Gains knowledge of the entire plant cycle and how it functions #ENG1
