Job Description

Overview Using their expertise in nursing, this person will execute substantial activities related to the sales, marketing, development and delivery of specialized and technical training programs for business and healthcare industries and oversight of projects related to healthcare partners' needs. This includes comprehensive business development generation through the establishment and cultivation of employer relationships. This person will provide non-credit student instruction and/or clinical supervision in the clock-hour Practical Nursing Program and additional health care programs held at Penn College at Wellsboro. Qualifications
EDUCATION
Associate's Degree in Nursing. Required Bachelor's Degree Established plan to earn a Bachrlor's Degree in Nursing by completion of the Fifth year of employment. Required
LICENSES AND CERTIFICATIONS
Current PA Registered Nurse (RN) Licensure. Required
EXPERIENCE
Three (3) years of clinical nursing experience in a health care environment as an RN. Required Extensive knowledge of equipment and/or processes related to nursing operations. Preferred Responsibilities Develop and maintain strong working relationships with clients to assess and address training and project needs. Provide classroom/clinical instruction in the Penn College at Wellsboro Practical Nursing Program (both the Wellsboro and Coudersport locations as needed) area in both on and off-campus sites under the direction of the Director, Practical Nursing. In coordination with the Director, create and maintain course materials, training manuals, curriculum, audio-visual aids, lesson plans, student assignments and exams, including laboratory demonstrations and clinical assignments for the program. Assist students to benefit from adequate clinical experiences by offering effective supervision and instruction in the clinical area, and complying with the clinical sites policies and procedures. Consult on an ongoing basis with College Relations and other offices/persons with assigned company contact responsibility on behalf of the College to coordinate and maximize efforts. Uphold nursing program policies. Maintain, organize, and prepare nursing lab area, equipment, and supplies. Provide feedback to students and assist with student and program evaluations, identifying academic and clinical problems as they surface, and consulting with the Coordinator for resolution of the problems. Maintain daily attendance records, monitoring student make-up hours, assignments, quizzes, and exams. Attend department meetings as scheduled. Assist with clinical scheduling, accreditation processes, health career explorations, and other program administration responsibilities as directed by the Director. Remain abreast of new developments in the health career field and in the area of instructional technology, developing new educational techniques for the classroom and lab. Develop connections in the local community which promote the health and well-being of its residents. Coordinate with other WD staff for the ongoing support of clients as necessary. Maintain updated and complete data within training management and shared file systems. Evaluate and assess training programs for quality of content and instruction and seek customer feedback on opportunities for improvement. Represent WD and the College in community, industry, and professional organization functions. Maintain memberships and involvement with professional organizations, and keep current with trends in adult education and training issues Maintain strong working relationships with funding agencies for continued cooperation and coordination of projects. Assist in the development and administration of grants related to training, business and industry projects, and economic development. Manage training program development and delivery, and provide direction to individuals supporting all related efforts. Monitor and evaluate training programs to maintain high quality and recommend improvement initiatives as needed. Promote the mission and services of WD and the College through presentations, service on committees, and participation in meetings with various agencies. Assist in the strategic planning process and execute the objectives of WD. Provide technical assistance and expertise to project teams as appropriate. Prepare and distribute marketing materials for training activities and special projects. Prepare financial, statistical, and other activity reports and projections as requested by the supervisor. Oversee the development, coordination, marketing, and implementation of training programs, seminars, and services. Negotiate with clients and applicable funding agencies to develop program specifications, costs, and contracts for specialized training, and assessment initiatives. Coordinate resources to ensure proper configuration and installation of computer software and hardware, as well as other equipment for effective delivery of training, projects, and demonstrations. Identify, train, and oversee internal and external instructors as necessary. Assist with the interview process and make recommendations for hiring as requested. Provide instruction for nursing and healthcare-related training and workshops for WD clients as necessary.
ADDITIONAL RESPONSIBILITIES
Perform general housekeeping to keep equipment and facilities clean and orderly in the classroom, nursing lab, medical assistant, and office areas. Physical Standards and Special Job Features Standing or walking for extended periods of time. Multiple physical positioning including full range of motion. Fine motor manual dexterity. Ability to lift not to exceed 50 lbs. Physical ability to demonstrate nursing lab procedures. Physical ability to effectively manage the instructor tasks in the clinical environment. Pay Transparency Based on minimum education and experience qualifications the yearly salary range is $72,000 - $82,000.
