ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS
Responsible for daily management of practice site(s). Motivates staff and organizes day-to-day activity of the practices. Develops and refines processes to continually improve practice operations and staff workflows. Reliable and punctual attendance is essential; expected to be at job as scheduled each scheduled day. Communicate necessary information to others as appropriate. Supervise, and direct all non-clinical staff to ensure the clinic operates in an efficient manner and the patients receive the highest quality customer service. Performs management activities including interviewing, hiring, evaluating, departmental staffing and scheduling. Performs evaluation process for staff within each practice; compiles information for human resource department in a timely manner. Ensures that staff maintains licensure and certifications as required along with yearly competency evaluation. Provides on-going feedback to staff of performance throughout the year. Assists with the development and reporting of practice metrics. Monitors performance and partners with Administrator and/or Director and providers to create action plans. Communicates practice performance with staff & providers on a monthly basis. Monitors financial performance on a daily, weekly and monthly basis. Identifies opportunities for improvement and develops plans to implement necessary changes to meet budget. Ensures compliance to standards with focus on volume, customer service initiatives, productivity, coding, and clinical supply costs. Ensures accuracy of payroll submission. Ensures overtime and/or temporary personnel are within budget. Assists staff with payroll issues. Monitor delivery of patient services to include reviewing physician activity data and forecast and prepare for all changes needed or impacted by patient load, billing/collecting procedures, and government regulations and policies. Assess and increase patient satisfaction through patient education, front office experience, and communication. Ensure optimal patient flow and outstanding customer service. Coordinate with facilities, IT, and other business partners to address needs of the practice. Monitoring patient referrals and intervenes when necessary to address service issues. Provides leadership for practice to support change and organizational initiatives. Acts as a champion for continuous improvement for practice and Family Health West. Plays a vital role in staff development in an effort to ensure staff are working at their maximum level of competencies and to create and maintain a sense of teamwork. Counsels employees in disciplinary matters and obtains assistance from human resources appropriately for disciplinary actions and/or employee termination process. Notifies Administrator and/or Director of any HR issues within the practice. Other job related duties as assigned.EDUCATION
Education Associates degree or equivalent required Licenses No professional license required. Certifications Quality Improvement Certification preferred Experience Five (5) years of related healthcare experience in practice management, healthcare financial management or performance improvement required.WAGE STARTS
