Praise and Worship Leader

MISSION:

Our praise and worship leader is responsible for leading us into a meaningful spiritual-filled, diverse worship experience and atmosphere where we encounter the presence and power of the Lord. They lead us into lifting up the Lord and Him alone.

MINISTRY

To audition, assemble, and lead a worship team. To lead the team in prayer, praise, worship, and practice (lifestyle). To prepare and present a spirit-led order of worship for our worship experiences. To minister alongside those ministering in the Word whenever and however needed. To be open to creating and writing original worship songs for the house. To allow prophetic worship in song when it is prompted by the Holy Spirit. To participate in praise and worship workshops and seminars To stay current in function and development.

METHOD:

Worship Type:

Modern CCM, Contemporary Gospel & Choir, Traditional Congregational, Hymns, and Prophetic worship.

Worship Rehearsal:

In collaboration with the MD and band, assign regular rehearsals for the band and worship team.

Worship Agenda:

Worship songs should be prayerfully selected and shared with the media ministry weekly. At least one or two worship songs should align with the monthly teaching series or seasonal experience (Easter, Christmas, etc.).

Worship Method:

The worship leader should lead in worship and exaltation.

Worship Time:

Praise and Worship should be 20 minutes. When the sense from the Holy Spirit is for more, follow the Holy Spirit.

Stipend:

The position is weekly stipend-based, not hourly or salary-based. The position is a 1099. During special events, conferences, revivals, etc., there will be an additional stipend provided.

MINISTRY REPORT

The Praise and Worship leader will report to the Pastor of Ministries for general functions. For other needs, he directs the worship leader to the proper pastoral or staff leader. The Praise and Worship leader and the MD are to work hand-in-hand, reporting to each other, on creating a lively and lifechanging worship experience each time we gather.
