Job Description
Job Summary We are seeking a passionate and dedicated Pre K Assistant Teacher to join our vibrant early childhood education team. In this role, you will support lead teachers in creating a nurturing, engaging, and educational environment for preschool-aged children. Your enthusiasm and commitment will help foster a love of learning, promote social-emotional development, and ensure a safe and inclusive classroom experience. This paid position offers an exciting opportunity to make a positive impact on young learners' lives while gaining valuable classroom experience in a dynamic educational setting. Duties Assist lead teachers in implementing daily lesson plans aligned with early childhood education standards, including literacy, math, and social skills activities Support classroom management by encouraging positive behavior and helping children develop self-regulation skills Engage children in age-appropriate activities that promote cognitive, emotional, and physical development, including toddler care and Montessori-inspired methods Help create an inclusive environment by working effectively with children with diverse needs, including those with autism or disabilities Supervise children during indoor activities, outdoor play, meals, nap times, and transitions to ensure safety at all times Support curriculum development efforts by preparing materials and setting up learning centers that stimulate curiosity and exploration Communicate regularly with parents and guardians to share updates on children's progress and address any concerns Qualifications Prior experience working with preschool-aged children in daycare, private school, or similar settings is highly preferred Knowledge of early childhood development theories and practices, including behavior management techniques Familiarity with special education strategies, literacy education, math instruction, and classroom management tools Experience working with individuals with autism or other disabilities is a plus Strong communication skills to collaborate effectively with colleagues and families Ability to plan engaging lessons that incorporate curriculum standards such as Montessori or other early childhood frameworks Demonstrated patience, flexibility, and enthusiasm for working with young children in a nurturing environment Join us to inspire young minds!
