Job Description
Job Overview We are seeking a passionate and energetic Assistant Teacher/Floater to join our dynamic educational team! In this vital role, you will support classroom teachers across various age groups and programs, ensuring a nurturing, engaging, and inclusive environment for all children. Your flexibility and dedication will help maintain seamless classroom operations while providing exceptional care and instruction. Duties Assist lead teachers in implementing curriculum plans focused on literacy, math, and overall childhood development. Support classroom management by fostering positive behavior and encouraging social-emotional growth among students. Provide one-on-one tutoring or mentoring to children needing extra assistance with literacy, math, or behavioral challenges. Help create a safe, inclusive environment by working with children with disabilities or autism, ensuring their needs are met with compassion. Engage children in age-appropriate activities that promote learning, creativity, and physical development. Maintain classroom organization by proofreading instructional materials, preparing supplies, and ensuring cleanliness. Collaborate with staff to support individualized education plans (IEPs) and adapt teaching strategies accordingly. Requirements Prior experience working with children in classroom settings or childcare environments is preferred. Knowledge of early childhood education principles, including childhood development and Montessori methods. Strong communication skills to effectively interact with children, parents, and team members. Familiarity with behavior management techniques and classroom management strategies. Experience working with individuals with disabilities or autism is a plus. Ability to multitask and adapt quickly in a dynamic educational setting.
