Aug 14, 2026 Job Description Essex Westford School District is seeking a Pre-School Lab Supervisor to support the daily operations of our Center for Technology, Essex Pre-School Lab. This position works closely with the program instructor to support preschool programming, supervise students working in the lab setting, assist with instruction, maintain records, communicate with families, and help ensure a safe, organized, and developmentally appropriate learning environment. Primary job duties include but are not limited to, the following: Assist with preparation and setup of the preschool lab, lesson materials, supplies, and equipment. Coordinate preschool registration, attendance, billing, payments, emergency information, and related records. Support the program instructor in planning, coordinating, and supervising daily preschool lab operations. Provide instructional support to students individually and in groups. Model appropriate early childhood practices, behavior, and professional techniques. Supervise student workers in the Pre-School Lab and provide feedback on their performance. Help ensure compliance with health, safety, and program expectations. Communicate with parents/guardians regarding preschool programs, schedules, policies, and related needs. Support classroom management, behavior expectations, and conflict resolution. Assist with program evaluation, field trips, meetings, and related Human Services program activities. Substitute for the program instructor when needed. We are seeking folks with the following qualifications: Bachelor's degree in Early Childhood Education or a related field, plus at least two years of recent related experience; or an equivalent combination of education and experience. Working knowledge of Reggio philosophy preferred. Experience working with young children, adolescents, and adults. Strong group childcare and preschool-level teaching skills. Strong communication, interpersonal, organizational, and supervisory skills. Ability to work collaboratively with students, staff, families, and community partners. Valid Vermont driver's license and acceptable driving record. Willingness and ability to obtain First Aid and CPR training.

Pay:

$26.21+ based on experience
