Job Description:

Flowtec Construction is partnered with a $500M General Contractor in Oak Brook in their search for a Preconstruction Manager to join the business. With a strong reputation across the Chicagoland market and a diverse project portfolio, this is an opportunity to join a financially stable, growth focused contractor with a clear long term path into a Director of Preconstruction position. The company delivers a wide range of projects across commercial, industrial, multifamily, healthcare and mixed use sectors, with individual projects ranging up to $75M in value.

Responsibilities:

Lead a team of 2 Preconstruction/Estimators Lead preconstruction efforts from conceptual budgeting through GMP development Manage estimating, bid leveling, subcontractor qualification and scope analysis Partner closely with ownership, design teams and operations throughout the pursuit and planning process Drive value engineering initiatives and provide strategic cost guidance to clients Support procurement strategy, subcontractor negotiations and risk analysis Mentor junior preconstruction and estimating staff as the team continues to grow

Requirements:

5+ years of experience within Preconstruction or Estimating for a General Contractor Experience managing commercial construction projects through preconstruction phases Strong understanding of conceptual estimating, budgeting and subcontractor markets Ability to communicate effectively with clients, consultants and internal teams Experience on projects ranging from $10M to $75M+ preferred Why Join?
