As a Prep Cook, you'll play a vital role in bringing our menu to life. You'll prepare and cook fresh, high-quality dishes while maintaining the highest standards of food safety, consistency, and presentation. Position Title:
Prep Cook
PRINCIPAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES
Food Preparation & Execution Prepare, cook, and plate menu items following company recipes, portioning, and presentation standards. Execute daily prep lists efficiently while maintaining freshness and quality. Operate and maintain all kitchen equipment safely and responsibly. Ensure all food items are properly labeled, dated, and rotated according to food safety standards. Support daily production of grab-and-go items, specials, and made-to-order dishes. Food Safety & Sanitation Follow all food safety, allergen, and sanitation procedures consistently. Maintain a clean, organized, and sanitary workstation throughout the shift. Adhere to all health department guidelines and company policies. Report any unsafe conditions, equipment issues, or maintenance needs promptly. Complete daily and weekly cleaning checklists. Teamwork & Communication Work collaboratively with other team members to ensure smooth service. Communicate effectively with coworkers and supervisors during service and prep times. Support training of new kitchen staff as directed by management. Maintain a positive, professional, and respectful attitude in all interactions. Guest Experience & Brand Standards Ensure every plate meets Alltown Fresh standards for taste, freshness, and presentation. Take pride in producing food that enhances the guest experience and reflects our brand values. Support the Alltown Fresh commitment to creating moments of connection and hospitality, even behind the scenes. Qualifications
QUALIFICATIONS
Must be 18 years of age or older. 1-2 years of kitchen or culinary experience preferred. Knowledge of food safety and sanitation practices. Strong attention to detail and consistency. Ability to work quickly and efficiently in a fast-paced kitchen. Dependable, team-oriented, and professional under pressure. Willingness to work flexible hours, including nights, weekends, and holidays.
PHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS
Ability to lift up to 50 pounds using proper lifting techniques. Frequent standing, walking, bending, and reaching throughout the shift. Ability to work near heat, cold, and wet surfaces. Extended periods of standing and working in a high-volume kitchen. Safe use of knives, cooking tools, and kitchen equipment required. Pay Range $18.13
