• Temporary, Seasonal, Full-time Overview We are seeking a dedicated and enthusiastic Prep Cook and Line Cook to join our culinary team on beautiful Orcas Island!

The ideal candidate will have a passion for food and a strong understanding of kitchen operations. As a Prep Cook or Line Cook, you will play a crucial role in ensuring that our kitchen runs smoothly by preparing ingredients and assisting in the overall food preparation process. This position is perfect for individuals looking to grow their culinary skills in a fast-paced environment. Responsibilities Prepare and chop ingredients according to recipes and specifications. Assist in cooking and assembling dishes as directed by the Chef de Cuisine or kitchen manager. Maintain cleanliness and organization of the kitchen, including proper food storage practices. Follow food safety and sanitation guidelines to ensure a safe working environment. Help with inventory management by checking stock levels and reporting shortages. Collaborate with team members to ensure timely meal preparation for catering events or daily service. Participate in training sessions to enhance culinary skills and knowledge of food handling.

Knowledge of specialized equipment:

Mastering of slicer, Robo-coup, Hobart, convection ovens Must possess knife skills, the ability to adjust preparations for flavor, and accommodate customer's needs in a timely manner Requirements Previous experience in the food industry, preferably working with elevated food quality and/or catering environment. Knowledge of food safety standards and best practices in food handling. Ability to work efficiently in a busy kitchen setting while maintaining high-quality standards. Strong teamwork skills with the ability to communicate effectively with other kitchen staff. A passion for culinary arts and willingness to learn new techniques. Flexibility to work various shifts, including evenings and weekends as needed.
