Position Summary We are seeking a passionate and responsible Prep Cook to join our team at Auntie Xita Temple City. This role is an important part of our back-of-house operations, ensuring excellent food quality, efficiency, and adherence to company standards.

Start Date:
Upon onboarding completion. All required pre-employment notices and documents will be provided at or before the start date, as required by law. Key Responsibilities Prepare ingredients and menu items according to restaurant recipes, portion guidelines, and quality standards. Wash, cut, chop, marinate, portion, label, and organize ingredients for daily kitchen operations. Prepare hot and cold dishes according to menu standards and kitchen procedures. Operate kitchen equipment safely and properly, including grills, fryers, stoves, ovens, slicers, and other prep tools. Maintain cleanliness and organization of prep areas, cooking stations, storage areas, walk-ins, and kitchen equipment. Assist with receiving, labeling, storing, and rotating inventory to maintain freshness and reduce waste. Follow food safety, hygiene, sanitation, temperature control, SOPs, and company policies in accordance with California requirements. Communicate clearly with kitchen staff, supervisors, chefs, and front-of-house team members to support smooth service flow. Assist with opening, closing, restocking, cleaning, and next-day preparation duties. Be punctual, reliable, organized, and able to work efficiently in a fast-paced kitchen environment. Qualifications Previous kitchen, prep cook, line cook, or food service experience. Strong work ethic, reliability, and willingness to learn and take direction from kitchen supervisors and chefs. Ability to follow recipes, prep lists, portion guidelines, food safety procedures, and company standards. Strong attention to detail, cleanliness, portion accuracy, and product consistency. Strong team communication and coordination skills. Flexible availability, including early mornings, evenings, weekends, holidays, and changing schedules as needed. Ability to stand, bend, reach, lift, carry, and work in refrigerated or cold prep areas for extended periods. Ability to lift up to 40 lbs, with or without reasonable accommodation. Possession of, or ability to obtain upon hire, a California Food Handler's Card. Fluent in English. Chinese language skills are a plus. Must be authorized to work in the United States.
