Job Overview The Crooked Ram is looking for PREP COOKS and/or a

PIZZA COOK

for our seasonal outdoor restaurant The Yard, in Manchester, VT, that operates from June to October. With both rolls we need people who can: + Make & shape pizza doughs (daily responsibility) + Work comfortably in a fast paced environment with high volume + Use and maintain a meat slicer + Help with staff meal preparation + Receive and organize daily deliveries + Work in a clean and organized manner This is the perfect job for someone who wants to work in a serious, but fun and supportive work environment where we take pride in our food and service. FULL JOB SUMMARY

The Line Cook represents The Crooked Ram with the highest levels of culinary skills, professionalism, sanitation, and food safety. The Line Cook must interact with team membersand management in a professional and collaborative manner.

KNOWLEDGE & SKILLS

Knowledge of food menu Knowledge of basic cooking techniques and knife cuts Knowledge of a variety of proteins and butchering Strong knife skills Passion for food and flavor Ability to multitask and work well as part of a team in a fast-paced, high-pressure environment Ability to think and act quickly and effectively while retaining self-composure Ability to maintain a positive attitude and promote a respectful work environment Comfortable and effective at taking direction Has excellent communication, time management, and organizational skills Committed to cleanliness and professionalism Must be a team player Must demonstrate appropriate workplace behavior and treat all employees with respect

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES

Maintain and supports all menu prep and execution Cook and plate food as directed in a clean, safe, and timely manner Assist in the production of family meal Prepare food according to The Crooked Ram procedures and standards, within allowable time guidelines Maintain a clean, neat, and organized work station, kitchen, and prep area Maintain and update outlined recipes and plate presentation in order to maintain standards of quality in production and presentation Report any problems with food product, kitchen equipment or work area to the Head

PIZZA COOK

Experience working as a pizzaolo / pizza cook preferred Prepare authentic handmade pizza using a stone-hearth oven while maintaining TheCrooked Ram's quality standards Strive to develop high-quality, innovative and creative pizza menu offerings for our guests A passion for the craft of making handmade pizza

EXPERIENCE 1-2 YEARS HIGHLY PREFERRED

Pay:

$20.00 - $24.00 per hour
