com Responsibilities - Job description:
Prep Cook responsibilities include: Assisting the team with their daily tasks as noted by the supervisor or kitchen manager, including prepping food, communicating about needs and maintaining a sanitary an organized workspace
  • Prepares and portions hot and cold food for daily use, including chopping vegetables,portioning food, portioning meat, and preparing sauces or any other food prep assigned.
  • Answers, reports and follows instructions from Café Manager and Kitchen Manager
  • Cleans up station and ensures leftover food is stored or disposed of properly
  • Sets up and stocks stations with necessary supplies
  • Applies and maintains Serve Safe and HAACP standards for safe and presentable foodpractices
  • Ensures that all problems are reported immediately to the Café Manager
  • Assists with checking in and putting away any incoming orders promptly and in accordancewith state and department guidelines
  • Reports all incidents/accidents, unsafe and hazardous conditions/equipment immediately
  • Follows established safety rules and regulations
  • Responsible for ensuring food quality and proper temperatures
  • Responsible for helping maintain a clean, organized, and sanitary kitchen including allrefrigerated and dry storage areas
  • Attends department staff meetings as directed
  • Maintains confidentiality of company information
  • Performs any other tasks assigned by supervisors to ensure quality food service.
  • Teamwork - collaboration and communication with other kitchen staff to ensure smoothservice and timely food delivery
