Preschool Assistant

Part-Time Assistant Preschool Teacher Bird's Nest Hinkley Early Learning and Care Center | Hinckley, IL $17-$20 per hour, based on education and experience Bird's Nest Preschool is hiring caring, dependable, and engaging Assistant Teachers for two part-time positions:

Morning Shift:

8:30 AM-12:30 PM, primarily with 2- and 3-year-olds

Afternoon Shift:

2:00 PM-4:00 PM, with children ages 2-5 We are looking for individuals who enjoy working in a warm, play-based preschool environment that supports hands-on learning and whole-child development. This is an active role for someone who loves engaging with children through play, daily routines, and learning experiences.

Responsibilities include:

assisting the Lead Teacher, supporting classroom routines and activities, actively engaging with children, supervising for safety, helping with snack and self-help routines, maintaining a clean and organized classroom, and working collaboratively with the teaching team.

Preferred qualifications:

experience with young children, strong communication skills, reliability, and a genuine passion for early childhood education.
