Job Description
Full time salaried position in a fun-loving, fast-paced environment We are seeking a center Assistant Director to work closely with the Director to create an outstanding childcare experience for the children and families at our center, and to equip, encourage and empower childcare center team members to meet and exceed company expectations at the center level. •You must have at least one year of management experience in a licensed child care facility to be considered! •Responsibilities include, but are not limited to: Completing daily routines that ensure the center is operating effectively and efficiently Recruiting and retaining enrollments of children and families, including assisting in the creation and facilitation of special events Collecting and addressing parent feedback Assisting in recruiting, hiring, training, supervision and coaching of center staff Observation, strengthening and improvement of center practices Maintaining compliance with AL DHR rules and regulations and STARS expectations Auditing paperwork (DHR paperwork, center staff and child files, health and fire inspections, etc.) Assisting in the classrooms and kitchen as needed Supporting Director and executive management team as needed and instructed
Qualifications:
High School diploma and ECE credential (college degree preferred) Minimum of one year experience in childcare, three years preferred. Management experience strongly recommended Demonstrated knowledge in Alabama DHR rules and regulations Excellent written, oral and nonverbal communication skills Proven customer service experience (ability to handle complaints effectively and efficiently) High level of organization, follow-through and accountability Ability to work independently and to multitask Knowledge of computers (Microsoft Word, Power Point, basic Excel) Flexible schedule (will include the occasional night and weekend hours) Positive attitude and friendly demeanor Ability to think on your feet and jump in to help wherever needed Passion to care for, motivate and uplift young lives Team members will enjoy a robust benefits package that includes: Weekly pay Health, Dental and Vision Insurance PTO plan - accrual starts immediately!
