Preschool Lead Teacher Dayton, KY 41074 From $16 an hour - Full-time From $16 an hour - Full-time Overview We are seeking a passionate and dynamic Preschool Lead Teacher to inspire young learners and foster a nurturing, engaging classroom environment. As a key leader in early childhood education, you will design and implement developmentally appropriate curricula that promote literacy, social-emotional growth, and foundational skills across various domains including math, physical education, and early intervention strategies. Your energetic approach will motivate children to explore, learn, and thrive while ensuring their safety and well-being. Responsibilities Develop and execute comprehensive lesson plans aligned with early childhood education standards, incorporating curriculum development techniques . Create a positive classroom atmosphere that encourages curiosity, independence, and social skills through effective classroom management and behavior management techniques. Supervise daily activities including preschool routines, physical education, and structured learning experiences tailored to various developmental stages. Collaborate with families to communicate children's progress, conduct assessments using standardized testing where applicable, and support individual learning needs including special education and early intervention programs. Maintain a safe, clean, and organized classroom environment that promotes child welfare and adheres to daycare regulations and best practices in childcare. Lead team efforts by mentoring assistant teachers or aides, providing guidance on lesson planning, classroom management, and child development principles. Engage in ongoing professional development related to childhood development topics such as literacy education, math instruction, behavior management, etc, Experience Proven experience working with children in a preschool or daycare setting with demonstrated classroom management skills. Prior involvement in curriculum development with an emphasis on early childhood education principles such as childhood development theories. Familiarity with standardized testing procedures for young children and the ability to incorporate assessment results into instructional planning. Strong communication skills for effectively engaging with parents, colleagues, and community partners. Classroom experience in private school environments or licensed daycare facilities is highly desirable. Knowledge of teaching physical education activities suitable for preschoolers along with basic tutoring or supplemental instruction experience in literacy or math is advantageous.
