This is a full-time, year-round position working 35+ hours per week , Monday-Friday from 10:00 AM-5:30 PM . We are seeking a dedicated early childhood professional who enjoys supporting preschool classrooms, building relationships with children and families, and leading a safe, engaging after-school preschool program. Position Responsibilities Provide classroom support in toddler and preschool classrooms Assist with daily program operations and classroom management Serve as Site Manager and Preschool Lead Teacher for the After-School Preschool Program from 3:00-5:30 PM Support children's social, emotional, cognitive, and physical development Maintain a nurturing, positive, and developmentally appropriate learning environment Collaborate with teaching staff, families, and administration Qualifications Must meet Minnesota DHS Lead Teacher qualifications for education and experience Experience in early childhood education, preschool, childcare, or child development preferred Strong communication, organization, and leadership skills Passion for working with young children in a play-based learning environment Pay & Benefits $20.00-$23.00 per hour, depending on education and experience Year-round employment 64 hours PTO (prorated) Eight paid holidays Paid training and continuing education opportunities About Lake Area Discovery Center Lake Area Discovery Center has been serving children ages 6 weeks through Pre-Kindergarten since 1999.
