Preschool Teacher

About us PVUMC Preschool is a non-profit in Paradise Valley, AZ. We are professional, creative, collaborative and our goal is to provide quality early childhood education to children ages 2-5. We are a play-based preschool looking for motivated, creative, and hard-working individuals who have a love for children.

Teacher Position:

The ideal candidate:

• Is a patient, loving, kind, understanding, and gentle individual that has a love of working with children.
• Has a minimum of 2 years of experience working with children in early childhood environments.
• Has a basic knowledge of the AZDHS childcare rules and regulations.
• Displays the ability to communicate appropriately both verbally and in written form with parents and fellow teachers.
• Available to work contract hours beginning at 8:30 am and ending at 12:30 pm, with Potential Lunch Bunch Monday-Friday. Schedule is nonnegotiable.
• Can implement lesson plans using the Creative Curriculum.
• Has previously written and implemented lesson plans in a school setting
• Create a welcoming and safe environment for all children and co-teachers
• Attend staff meetings and complete all necessary in-service hours as required by AZDHS.
• This is a part time position with hours ranging from 8:30-1:30.

Position Requirements:

• Must be 18 years old as required by the Board of Health
• High school diploma or high school equivalency diploma
• Minimum of 2 years of experience in early childcare

• Preferred:

  CDA, AA, BA or master's in early childhood or Elementary Education
• Lead Teachers are required to have a minimum of an Associates Degree in Early Childhood Education or Elementary Education
• CPR and First Aid training required
• Fingerprint clearance card required
• Currently live within 10-15 miles of PVUMC Preschool
