Preschool Teacher

Monica Ros School is a small, arts-integrated school serving children ages two through third grade in Ojai. We are seeking a thoughtful, nurturing Preschool Teacher to join our early childhood team. This position may be part-time or full-time, depending on the experience and availability of the candidate. Responsibilities Create and maintain a warm, developmentally appropriate classroom environment Plan and implement engaging curriculum that supports social-emotional growth, early academics, creativity, and independence Integrate art, movement, play, and nature into daily classroom experiences Observe and support each child's developmental progress Foster a respectful, inclusive, and kind classroom culture Support children through daily routines and transitions Collaborate closely with co-teachers and school leadership Communicate professionally with families as needed Maintain all health, safety, and licensing requirements Uphold all mandated reporter responsibilities in accordance with California law Qualifications ECE units required Experience working with preschool-aged children Strong understanding of child development and developmentally appropriate practices Calm, nurturing classroom presence with the ability to set clear boundaries Strong communication and collaboration skills Mandated reporter training completed or willingness to complete upon hire CPR and First Aid certification, or willingness to obtain Schedule & Compensation Part-time or full-time, depending on fit Competitive compensation based on experience Benefits available for full-time positions
