In this role, you will be responsible for setting up and operating press brake machines to bend and form sheet metal components with precision and efficiency. Your expertise will ensure that all fabricated parts meet strict quality standards while adhering to safety protocols. Duties Set up and calibrate press brake machines, ensuring proper tooling and safety measures are in place before operation Read and interpret detailed blueprints, technical drawings, and specifications to determine bending angles, dimensions, and sequence of operations Operate press brake machinery to produce accurate bends on sheet metal components, maintaining high standards of quality and precision Adjust machine settings as needed during production runs to optimize efficiency and product quality Conduct routine inspections of finished parts using micrometers, calipers, and other precision measuring instruments to verify conformance with specifications Perform basic troubleshooting on equipment issues, including mechanical adjustments or tooling replacements Maintain a clean and organized work area, adhering to safety guidelines such as proper use of hand tools, cranes, forklifts, and other fabrication equipment Requirements Proven experience operating press brake machines in a manufacturing or fabrication environment Strong knowledge of blueprint reading, GD&T (Geometric Dimensioning & Tolerancing), and sheet metal fabrication techniques Familiarity with CNC laser cutting, CNC programming, CNC milling machines, CNC lathe operations, plasma cutting, electrical discharge machining (EDM), stamping presses, and welding is highly desirable Ability to use mechanical hand tools, calipers, micrometers, and other precision measuring instruments accurately Basic math skills for calculating dimensions, angles, and tolerances necessary for precise bending operations Mechanical aptitude with a solid understanding of tooling setup, fabrication processes, and quality inspection procedures Ability to operate forklifts and cranes safely when handling heavy materials or tooling (certification preferred) Knowledge of manufacturing safety standards and best practices in a production environment Strong attention to detail combined with excellent problem-solving skills to ensure high-quality output Join our team as a Press Brake Setup/Operator where your skills will directly impact the quality of our products!
