Job Description
OVERVIEW
The Pricing Specialist for IEWC's Original Equipment Manufacturing (OEM) Business will create meaningful company and personal success as a business leader and employee owner. This role plays a critical part in driving pricing strategy, governance, and execution across the organization. This role serves as the lead of the Deal Desk, partnering cross-functionally to support large and complex opportunities while ensuring pricing consistency, margin optimization, and adherence to company guidelines.KEY RESPONSIBILITIES
Create and reinforce continuous feedback vehicles to encourage successful pricing models. Assist in determining appropriate list prices, contract pricing, copper pricing, updating, communication and publication of pricing initiatives and strategies. Develop a strong understanding of the selling cycle and processes to support the sales organization with timely and relevant data. Lead and manage the Deal Desk function, acting as the primary point of contact for all large, complex, and non-standard deals. Serve as the key user and subject matter expert in PROS, with ownership of price lists, maintenance and refinement of pricing logic and business rules, ensuring system accuracy and alignment with current pricing strategies Provide assistance, as needed, of mass price changes or product changes Prepare, provide and present pricing analysis and ongoing measurement which allow teams to effectively respond to changing economic conditions, competitive landscape, market changes and reporting on pricing effectiveness. Analyze deal performance, pricing trends, and margin outcomes to inform recommendations. Establish good working relationships cross functionally with all departments (Customer Care, Sales, Sourcing, Finance, Commercial Excellence, and IT). Proactively identify gaps in pricing processes, tools, and governance. Drive initiatives to improve efficiency, transparency, and scalability of pricing operations. Staying updated with pricing best practices and market dynamics. Participate in and help drive a Continuous improvement mindset that drives toward excellence and simplification. Education and/orExperience:
Bachelor's Degree in Finance, Economics, Mathematics, or related field 3+ years of experience of financial analysis Previous experience with pricing processes, implementing pricing initiatives, and creating pricing process training and documentation Collaborative communicator who is able to develop relationships and gain results cross-functionally Excellent analytical, problem solving, business acumen and decision-making skills Direct experience with best-practice pricing techniques and pricing software tools (e.g. PROS) strongly preferred Knowledge in SAP, Salesforce.com, BI applications (Power BI, Qlik, etc) Excel and PowerPoint is preferredPHYSICAL DEMANDS
