Position Summary:

West Hartford Public Schools seeks an outstanding educational leader for the position of principal at Norfeldt Elementary School. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in educational leadership and a diverse skill set, ready to take on a dynamic role in a nationally recognized, high-performing, and diverse school community. This individual will continue to foster a collaborative culture, working closely with students, faculty, families, and the community to support academic excellence, equity, and student success.

Establishes a collaborative professional learning system that is grounded in a vision of high-quality instruction and continuous improvement through the use of data to advance the school's vision, mission, and goals.

Integrity and Ethics:

Leads with honesty, transparency and strong moral principles.

Family, Community and Stakeholder Engagement:

Uses professional influence to promote the growth of all students by actively engaging and collaborating with families, community partners and other stakeholders to support the vision, mission and goals of the school.

School Culture and Climate:

Establishes a positive climate for student achievement, as well as high expectations for adult and student conduct.

Maintains a focus on ethical decisions, cultural competencies, social justice and inclusive practice for all members of the school community.
