Job Description

Overview The Printer Technician provides onsite and remote support for enterprise printers, copiers, and multifunction devices. This role is responsible for troubleshooting, diagnosing issues, completing repairs, installing equipment, and delivering outstanding customer service. Technicians will interact with end users, IT staff, and vendor teams regularly. Responsibilities Diagnose and repair common printer, copier, and MFD issues Paper jams, feed issues, print quality problems Roller, fuser, and transfer belt replacements Basic electrical/mechanical troubleshooting Perform routine preventive maintenance without supervision Install and configure printers onsite and via remote support Set up IP printing, install drivers, map devices, and confirm test prints Calibrate devices and restore print quality Document all service activity accurately in the ticketing system Maintain parts inventory and request replacements as needed Provide clear, professional communication with end users Escalate advanced or vendor-specific issues when appropriate Qualifications 2+ years of experience repairing printers, copiers, or multifunction devices Working knowledge of HP, Lexmark, Canon, Ricoh, Xerox, or similar OEMs Strong troubleshooting ability across hardware and basic networking Ability to work independently at customer sites Excellent customer service and communication skills Valid driver's license and reliable transportation (if required) Preferred (Not Required) Comp

certifications or training Experience with ServiceNow, Zendesk, or similar ticketing systems Exposure to Managed Print Services (MPS) environments Physical Requirements Lift 40-60 lbs Move, carry, and position equipment Travel between assigned customer sites What Success Looks Like Solving the majority of issues independently Keeping detailed and accurate documentation Providing a positive, solution-focused experience to every end user Escalating issues appropriately when needed Maintaining uptime and meeting customer
SLAs Pay:
$22.00 - $25.00 per hour
