Job Description

Job Overview We are seeking a compassionate and dedicated Private Caregiver to provide exceptional in-home and community-based care for individuals with diverse needs. In this vital role, you will deliver personalized support that promotes independence, safety, and well-being. Your energetic approach and attention to detail will ensure each individual receives the highest quality of care, whether assisting with daily activities, managing medical needs, or providing emotional support. Responsibilities Assist clients with Activities of Daily Living (ADLs), including bathing, dressing, grooming, and mobility support using tools like Hoyer lifts when necessary Monitor patients' vital signs and observe for any changes in health or behavior, documenting findings accurately and promptly Administer medications following care plans and HIPAA regulations to ensure safety and compliance Prepare nutritious meals tailored to individual dietary needs and preferences, maintaining cleanliness in the kitchen area Support clients with memory care needs such as Alzheimer's or dementia by implementing specialized routines and safety measures Conduct patient observation to identify potential health issues early and communicate effectively with healthcare providers or family members Maintain detailed care plans, document patient progress, and update records regularly in accordance with healthcare standards Perform light housekeeping tasks including cleaning living spaces to promote a safe and hygienic environment Use appropriate equipment such as Hoyer lifts or resident's to assist with mobility and prevent injury during transfers Provide emotional support and companionship to foster a positive environment for individuals with developmental disabilities or autism Experience Prior experience working in assisted living facilities, nursing homes, group homes, or home health environments is highly preferred Demonstrated knowledge of patient monitoring techniques, medication administration, and vital signs measurement Experience providing dementia or Alzheimer's care within a memory care setting is advantageous Familiarity with HIPAA regulations and maintaining confidentiality of patient information Hands-on experience with care planning, direct support, and working with individuals with disabilities or developmental challenges Ability to perform heavy lifting safely when required for patient transfers or mobility assistance Certification in CPR and First Aid is strongly recommended; additional certifications such as hospice care or group home training are a plus Join us if you're passionate about delivering compassionate caregiving that transforms lives!
