PRN Pharmacist

Overview Blue Ridge Health is currently seeking a PRN (as needed) Pharmacist to be part of our Pharmacy team. No nights or weekends! Desire applicants with 2 weekdays available per week for flexible scheduling.

What You'll Do:

The Pharmacist serves patients by preparing medications, giving pharmacological information to a multidisciplinary health care team, and monitors patient drug therapies.

Responsibilities include:

Coordinates activities with pharmacist manager by scheduling work assignments, setting priorities, and directing the work of subordinate employees. Maintains records, prepares reports, and composes correspondence relative to the work. Consults with staff Physicians on the use, characteristics, and effects of drugs Maintains custody and control of narcotics Ability to recognize physical, chemical, and therapeutic incompatibilities Thorough knowledge of pharmacy, drug, narcotic, and related laws of the state of NC Monitor and analyze the health of the patient, with respect to the drugs that have been given to patient.
