As we continue to expand our public sector footprint, we are seeking an experienced and strategic Procurement & Government Contracts Manager to lead our sourcing operations, strengthen vendor networks, and drive disciplined, scalable procurement practices that support our long-term growth in the government marketplace.
Position Overview:
The Procurement & Government Contracts Manager is responsible for leading Wingglee's sourcing strategy, supplier relationships, and purchasing operations in support of our government contracting activities. This role focuses on strengthening vendor partnerships, improving procurement efficiency, negotiating competitive pricing, and ensuring reliable fulfillment of orders. The ideal candidate brings strong vendor management experience, operational discipline, and the ability to build scalable procurement processes that support company growth.
Key Responsibilities:
Identify and onboard qualified suppliers that meet contract specifications and compliance standards. Request, review, and compare supplier quotes to verify product specifications, lead times, and pricing accuracy. Assist in preparing and submitting compliant bids, proposals, and pricing sheets. Maintain and organize records of vendor communications, quotes, and sourcing documentation for audit readiness. Track and confirm shipment and delivery status with buyers to ensure timely order fulfillment. Resolve shipping, delivery, and lead time issues to minimize procurement delays. Update and maintain procurement records and documents; report status updates to the manager regularly. Ensure all purchasing activities comply with federal, state, and local procurement regulations. Collaborate with internal teams to monitor orders, evaluate supplier performance, and support continuous improvement.
Qualifications:
Bachelor's degree in Supply Chain, Business Administration, or related field. 2-3+ years of experience in procurement, sourcing, or vendor management. Strong negotiation and supplier relationship management skills. Experience managing purchasing workflows and operational processes. Highly organized with strong analytical and problem-solving abilities. Ability to manage multiple vendors and priorities simultaneously. Leadership experience preferred.
Pay:
$22.54 - $27.15 per hour
