As a Produce Assistant Manager, you will support the Produce Manager in overseeing all aspects of the produce department, including ordering, stocking, and maintaining the quality and freshness of produce items. Your role will involve assisting with inventory management, supervising produce associates, and providing excellent customer service. Join us in ensuring our customers have access to a wide variety of fresh and nutritious produce options while contributing to the success of our store.Examples of Duties:
Assist the Produce Manager in managing daily operations of the produce department, including ordering, receiving, and stocking produce items. Supervise produce associates, providing guidance and support to ensure efficient operations and excellent customer service. Monitor inventory levels of produce items and assist with ordering and restocking activities to maintain adequate stock levels. Ensure produce displays are attractively presented and properly rotated to maintain freshness and appeal. Conduct quality checks on produce items to ensure adherence to quality standards and food safety regulations. Assist with scheduling and staffing needs, including training new associates and coordinating work schedules. Provide excellent customer service by assisting customers with their produce selections and answering questions about products. Collaborate with other department managers to coordinate promotions and cross-departmental initiatives.Knowledge:
Knowledge of a variety of fruits and vegetables, including their seasonal availability and storage requirements. Understanding of food safety regulations and sanitation practices. Familiarity with inventory management principles.Skills:

Strong leadership skills for supervising and motivating a team of associates.Communication:
Clear and effective communication skills for interacting with customers and coworkers.Organization:
Excellent organizational skills for managing inventory and coordinating departmental operations.Abilities:
