Minimum qualifications:
Bachelor's degree in Mechanical Engineering, Product Design, a related technical field, or equivalent practical experience. 3 years of experience designing mechanical components such as plastic or metal parts, mechanical assemblies, printed circuit boards, or flexes. 3 years of experience using computer-aided design (CAD) tools such as 3D MCAD, NX, Creo, or Solidworks.
Preferred qualifications:
Master's degree in Mechanical Engineering, Product Design, or related field, or equivalent practical experience. 3 years of work experience in consumer product design. Experience with manufacturing methods used in consumer electronics products. Experience shipping multiple consumer products. Proficiency with NX and Teamcenter. About the job The US base salary range for this full-time position is $132,000-$189,000 + bonus + equity + benefits. Our salary ranges are determined by role, level, and location. Within the range, individual pay is determined by work location and additional factors, including job-related skills, experience, and relevant education or training. Responsibilities Design a subsystem or multiple individual parts from concept to production. Collaborate with suppliers for subsystems or individual parts throughout the design and manufacturing process. Identify the root cause of design, manufacturing, or reliability issues and develop corrective actions. Balance design considerations such as functionality, sustainability, reliability, human factors, manufacturability, cost, and aesthetics.
