Position summary ies•through diligent oversight of building systems, adherence to safety standards, and rapid response to issues that could impact people or operations. Improve planning and coordination by managing schedules, materials, and workflows that keep maintenance activities organized, timely, and aligned with operational priorities. Develop others by creating and delivering training, mentoring technicians, and building a more capable, confident, and self-sufficient maintenance team. Drive continuous improvement by initiating and leading improvement projects, adapting to changing work demands, and identifying opportunities to enhance reliability, efficiency, and safety. Model professional ownership by managing your workload independently, adjusting priorities as needed, participating in audits, and committing to ongoing learning to stay ahead of evolving facility needs. To be successful in this role you will need the following: A strong safety mindset so you consistently model proactive health and safety behaviors, identify hazards early, report issues, and contribute to an interdependent, injury-free workplace. Precision in data acquisition to prepare samples correctly, verify equipment calibration, and follow approved procedures so the data you generate is accurate, repeatable, and trusted by engineers and customers. Clear, organized data reporting skills that allow you to document methods, settings, results, and analysis in a way that supports sound engineering conclusions and customer decision-making. Technical understanding of test system design so you can interpret requirements, select the right equipment and instrumentation, integrate software, and ensure the lab's capability matches the test's needs. Expertise in test setup and configuration to translate test plans into safe, compliant physical setups, including fabrication of fixtures or systems using appropriate materials and methods. Hands-on skill in test article builds to assemble components, install instrumentation, and prepare articles so they can withstand and perform through the full functional test cycle. Preventative and predictive maintenance knowledge to interpret maintenance data, identify trends, and implement strategies that improve equipment reliability and support continuous improvement. Structured problem-solving capability to analyze issues systematically, determine root causes, implement data-driven solutions, prevent recurrence, and mentor others in effective problem-solving approaches.
Education/Experience:
High school diploma, certificate of completion of secondary education or equivalent experience in an appropriate STEM field is required. Regionally applicable certification or two year Associates Degree from an accredited college or university in a relevant field of study may be required. This position may require licensing for compliance with export controls or sanctions regulations. Requires significant relevant work experience or specialized skills obtained through education, training or on-the-job experience.
Additional Information:
This role requires coordination across cross-functional teams, including engineering, suppliers, materials, purchasing, plant support, and external contractors. Key responsibilities include leading concept development and cross-functional reviews, as well as developing project timelines, cost estimates, and resource plans to support approval processes. This role is responsible for Quote/RFA creation, contractor coordination, budget tracking, and providing regular status updates through project completion. This role requires strong mechanical and electrical system aptitude to effectively manage complex, system-level projects and associated resources.
