30-minute in-person interview Position Summary We are seeking a skilled, mechanically inclined, and safety-focused Production Associate I to support the teardown, cleaning, and inspection of high-horsepower diesel engines in a manufacturing environment. This hands-on role involves rotating through multiple stages of the production process including engine disassembly, component cleaning, and parts inspection to prepare components for the next phase of production. The ideal candidate will have experience with automotive, diesel, or heavy equipment repair, strong mechanical aptitude, and the ability to safely operate hand tools, power tools, and lifting equipment in a fast-paced production environment. Key ResponsibilitiesProduction & Manufacturing Operations Assist in the teardown and disassembly of 60L and 78L diesel engines. Clean, inspect, and prepare engine components for the next production stage. Operate production equipment and machinery safely and efficiently. Use hand tools, power tools, and lifting equipment including cranes to remove and handle heavy engine components. Perform quality inspections on parts and components to ensure production standards are met. Follow required cycle times and engineering standards to achieve production goals. Identify and report damaged or non-conforming materials. Maintain clean and organized workstations and production areas. Perform routine housekeeping, machine cleaning, and operator care tasks. Assist with identifying equipment requiring maintenance or repair. Health, Safety & Environmental (HSE) Follow all HSE standards, procedures, and company safety regulations. Use proper personal protective equipment (PPE) at all times. Report workplace hazards, injuries, incidents, or unsafe conditions immediately. Stop work when unsafe conditions are identified. Promote a strong safety culture by supporting team safety initiatives and training. Minimize environmental impact by following proper waste handling and workplace practices. Quality Assurance Follow standard work instructions, process documentation, and quality procedures.
Support quality systems including:
Statistical Process Control (SPC) Poka-yoke methods Visual quality standards Raise issues that could impact product quality or production costs. Maintain high attention to detail throughout all production processes. Teamwork & Continuous Improvement Communicate effectively with team members, supervisors, maintenance, and support staff. Participate in training and ongoing skill development programs. Support continuous improvement efforts related to: Safety Quality Process flow Production efficiency Employee development Remain flexible and assist with additional duties as required to meet production goals. Required Qualifications High school diploma, GED, or equivalent work experience. Mechanical aptitude and hands-on experience with tools and equipment.
