Description of Work:

This role will have two different responsibilities which includes being involved in maintenance in addition to being on the production floor helping where needed. On the maintenance side, this position will assist with: Basic maintenance and repairs on machines Cleaning and lubricating machinery Performing basic diagnostic tests Checking the performance of the machine Testing damaged machine parts to determine whether major repairs are necessary Installing and assembling new machines and equipment Maintaining a preventative maintenance schedule for inspecting, servicing, and testing machinery Diagnosing and repairing machine failures When this job requires you to be on the production floor you will help assist in any area. At times this may be unloading bulk ingredients, mechanically combining raw materials in order to produce our high quality finished products. As well as mix, bag, and seal assorted sizes of bird seed and then place finished product on pallets to prepare orders and moving finished product into our warehouse using a forklift.

Requirements:

• 1st shift with overtime and occasional weekends as needed
• Ability to be on-call for maintenance issues that may arise on 2nd shift.
• Must be able to occasionally lift up to 55 lbs
• Forklift experience, desirable
• Mechanical experience required
• Leadership mentality
• Ability to have attention to detail
• Reliability and dependability with guaranteed transportation is a must
• A background check
• Strong work ethic with a desire to grow and learn!
